​Make friends who care about stuff at Soapbox Portland, the city's most fun community space for climate action!

​We're having a party for people who care about the planet. Same time, same place, every week. You're invited. Every event we put on includes dinner, facilitation, and vibes. Soapbox Project believes finances should never act as a barrier for folks to participate in our events. ​It's time to take action! We've spent time this month learning about corporate accountability, business certifications, and reimagining the role corporations and big business hold in our life. For our action party, we're shifting to grassroots employee action. We'd love to see folks who are already in unions and green teams, those figuring out how to unionize or advance sustainability work within their organizations, or just curious folks who want to spend their evening with Soapbox! We'll walk away with some tools for talking when stakes are high, learn from our peers about what has and hasn't worked in their experience, and some takeaway actions we can do to help each other in our quest for a more just and sustainable world. Come hang!

• ​​5:45 | event programming begins

• ​5:50~7:15 pm | facilitated conversation on activism, advocacy, and communication strategies

• ​7:15-8 pm | action time & mingling!

​​Please arrive by 5:30pm so you have time to eat before the programming begins. We'll have Rudy's pizza and salad for din– their pizza week special!
